Woodstock Land Conservancy

In the iconic Catskill Mountain region, Innovative Resources Group is helping a growing local organization to build capacity and continue doing vital conservation work. Over the past 25 years, the Woodstock Land Conservancy has permanently protected more than 1,000 acres of open land, natural resources, scenic areas and historic sites in Woodstock and the surrounding eastern Catskills.

In 2013, Woodstock Land Conservancy—with funding from the New York State Conservation Partnership Program managed by the Land Trust Alliance—retained Innovative Resources Group President Beth Hershenhart to develop a plan for a sustainable future

With our help, the organization then embarked on a Campaign Readiness Assessment that laid the groundwork for a comprehensive campaign that will generate funding to support expenses for operations, conservation defense and stewardship—leading the way for the group to flourish and continue protecting vital conservation resources in the Catskills for years to come.
