Innovative Resources Group served as campaign counsel for the successful campaign for Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central New York. The campaign reached its $6 million goal and groundbreaking on the new house took place in June 2011.
The new, larger House will be 100 percent handicap accessible and will allow the organization to meet diverse needs and offer expanded services for new populations of guest families. The House will also feature an elevator, capacity for up to 39 guest rooms with private baths, a large family centered kitchen, a private registration area for guest families and a community room.
Serving more than 600 families a year, Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central New York provides a "home away from home" for families whose children are hospitalized with serious illness or injuries. It is a chapter of a global effort to help families find a strong, supportive and caring environment. Parents gain strength through the interaction and friendships they form with other parents who understand exactly how they feel. Friendships and mutual encouragement among the children are nurtured.
Raising philanthropic support is a critical part of Ronald McDonald House’s mission because serious childhood illnesses can be financially as well as emotionally devastating. Families are only asked to pay nominal fees for accommodations and meals.
